Настоящий стандарт распространяется на пищевые яичные продукты, выработанные из пищевых яиц сельскохозяйственной птицы: жидкие и сухие яичный меланж, яичный желток, яичные полуфабрикаты и кулинарные изделия, и предназначен для качественной идентификации наличия в яичных продуктах яичного желтка и/или яичного меланжа из яиц кур (Gallus gallus), уток (Anas platyrhynchos), гусей (Anser anser), индейки (Meleagris gallopavo), цесарки (Numida meleagris), перепелов (Coturnix coturnix) и страусов (Struthio camelus) методом полимеразной цепной реакции (ПЦР). Настоящий стандарт не распространяется на яичные продукты, содержащие только яичный белок
