The standard applies to salted fish intended for food purposes. The standard does not apply to anchovy, sturgeon, salmon and whitefish; fat capelin, sprat, smelt, sprat, sardines, sardinella, sardinops, herring, perch, sprat and oceanic cartilage fish.

Стандарт распространяется на соленую рыбу, предназначенную на пищевые цели. Стандарт не распространяется на анчоусовые, осетровые, лососевые и сиговые рыбы; жирную мойву, кильки, корюшку, салаку, сардины, сардинеллы, сардинопсы, сельди, судака, тюльку и океаническую хрящевую рыбу.
