This standard establishes a refractometric method for the determination of soluble solids in fruits and vegetables. The method is applicable for thick products, for products containing suspended particles, and for products with a high sugar content. In relation to products containing other solutes besides sugar, the test result obtained by this method is a conventional value, for convenience, taken as the content of soluble solids

Настоящий стандарт устанавливает рефрактометрический метод определения растворимых сухих веществ в продуктах переработки фруктов и овощей. Метод применим для густых продуктов, для продуктов, содержащих взвешенные частицы, и для продуктов с большим содержанием сахара. Применительно к продуктам, содержащим другие растворенные вещества ��омимо сахара, результат испытания, полученный данным методом, представляет собой условную величину, для удобства принимаемую за содержание растворимых сухих веществ
