The standard applies to freight covered four-axle universal wagons of 1520 mm gauge main railways (hereinafter referred to as wagons) intended for the carriage of piece, packaged, piece, packaged and bulk cargoes requiring protection from precipitation. The standard does not apply to special-purpose boxcars.
