The standard applies to food and sour-milk products, ferments, bacterial concentrates and bacterial preparations of lactic acid bacteria and establishes a method for determining viable lactic acid microorganisms and their most probable number, as well as methods for determining bacteria of the genera Lactobacillus, Leuconostos, Streptococcus N group genus Streptococcus, Pediococcus, S. thermophilus and the determination of the most probable number of bacteria of the genus Lactobacillus.
