The standard applies to electrical equipment and electrical installations of direct and alternating current frequencies of 50 and 60 Hz for voltages of 3 kV and above and establishes methods for measuring direct and alternating voltages, lightning and switching impulse voltages when testing insulation of electrical equipment and electrical installations, as well as measurement error limits and methods their definitions.
Стандарт распространяется на электрооборудование и электроустановки постоянного и переменного тока частоты 50 и 60 Гц на напряжение 3 кВ и выше и устанавливает методы измерения постоянных и переменных напряжений, напряжений грозовых и коммутационных импульсов при испытании изоляции электрооборудования и электроустановок, а также предельные значения погрешностей измерения и методы их определения.
