Status: Effective - Introduced for the first time
The standard applies to products, their constituent parts, considered as contact interaction systems operating in various conditions of external influences and the environment. The standard establishes general requirements for methods of testing for wear resistance at various stages of the product life cycle. The requirements of this standard should be taken into account when developing methods and testing programs for specific types of products. The requirements established by this standard are mandatory for products whose safety depends on their durability.
