The standard establishes the requirements and test methods for insulating suits (IC): ventilated insulating suits and ventilated protective clothing protecting against contamination by solid radioactive substances, including aerosols with a solid dispersed phase. The standard does not apply to protection against ionizing radiation and to protecting the patient from contamination by radioactive substances during diagnostic or therapeutic measures. The standard does not cover non-ventilated protective clothing and clothing to protect against liquids, liquid aerosols, vapors and gases.
Стандарт устанавливает требования и методы испытаний изолирующих костюмов (ИК): вентилируемых изолирующих костюмов и вентилируемой защитной одежды, защищающих от загрязнения твердыми радиоактивными веществами, в т.ч. аэрозолями с твердой дисперсной фазой. Стандарт не распространяется на защиту от ионизирующего излучения и на защиту пациента от загрязнения радиоактивными веществами при диагностических или терапевтических мероприятиях. Стандарт не распространяется наневентилируемую защитную одежду и одежду для защиты от жидкостей, жидких аэрозолей, паров и газов.
