This standard contains general requirements for the creation, implementation and operation of environmental management systems at facilities for the destruction of chemical weapons. This standard applies to those environmental aspects that an object can control and that can influence on it. The application of this standard at the facilities will: a) introduce, maintain and improve the environmental management system; b) make sure of its own compliance with the formulated environmental policy; c) demonstrate this correspondence to others; d) to certify its environmental management system; e) independently determine the compliance of such a system with this standard and declare this compliance. The degree of application of this standard depends on factors such as the environmental policy of the facility, the nature of its activities and the conditions in which this facility operates.
Настоящий стандарт содержит общие требования по созданию, внедрению и обеспечению функционирования на объектах по уничтожению химического оружия систем экологического менеджмента. Настоящий стандарт применим к тем экологическим аспектам, которые объект может контролировать, и на которые он может оказывать влияние. Применение настоящего стандарта на объектах позволит: а) внедрить, поддерживать и улучшать систему экологического менеджмента; б) удостовериться в собственном соответствии сформулированной экологической политике; в) демонстрировать это соответствие другим; г) сертифицировать свою систему экологического менеджмента; д) самостоятельно определить соответствие такой системы настоящему стандарту и заявить об этом соответствии. Степень применения настоящего стандарта зависит от таких факторов, как экологическая политика объекта, характер его деятельности и условия, в которых этот объект функционирует
