This standard applies to ultrasonic thickness gauges designed to measure the thickness of products in the range from 0.1 to 1000 mm from materials with the propagation speed of ultrasonic vibrations in them from 1500 to 12000 m / s, the principle of which is based on the interaction with the product of radiated pulsed or continuous acoustic oscillations introduced into the product from piezoelectric or electromagnetic-acoustic transducers, and sets the classification and requirements for them
