This standard establishes a test method for evaluating flame propagation under specified conditions using vertically arranged beams of electrical or optical wires or cables. This standard applies to test category B and applies to cables that are secured to the test ladder to produce a total nominal volume of 3.5 liters of non-metallic material over a length of 1 m of the test specimen. Flame exposure time - 40 min. For fastening use the front side of a standard ladder. This category is intended for general use when it is required to test average volumes of non-metallic materials.
Настоящий стандарт устанавливает метод испытания по оценке распространения пламени в заданных условиях по вертикально расположенным пучкам электрических или оптических проводов или кабелей. Настоящий стандарт касается категории испытания B и распространяется на кабели, которые закрепляют на испытательной лестнице для получения общего номинального объема неметаллического материала 3,5 л на длине 1 м испытуемого образца. Время воздействия пламени - 40 мин. Для крепления используют переднюю сторону стандартной лестницы. Данная категория предназначена для общего применения в тех случаях, когда требуется испытать средние объемы неметаллических материалов
