The standard establishes the maximum allowable levels of noise created by helicopters of civil aviation, and methods for determining it on the ground. The standard does not apply to helicopters designed only for use in agriculture, to fight a fire or to transport goods on an external suspension. The maximum permissible noise levels set by the standard are technical characteristics of the helicopter and do not apply as permissible noise levels to limit residential development in the vicinity of airports (these levels are regulated by GOST 22283).
Стандарт устанавливает максимально допустимые уровни шума, создаваемого вертолетами гражданской авиации, и методы его определения на местности. Стандарт не распространяется на вертолеты, спроектированные только для использования в сельском хозяйстве, для борьбы с пожаром или для транспортировки грузов на внешнейподвеске. Устанавливаемые стандартом максимально допустимые уровни шума являются технической характеристикой вертолета и не распространяются в качестве допустимых уровней шума дляограничения жилой застройки в окрестностях аэропортов (эти уровни регламентируются ГОСТ 22283).
