The standard establishes titrimetric methods for the determination of sulfur and methods based on the use of automatic analyzers: coulometric and infrared absorption.
Стандарт устанавливает титриметрические методы определения серы: йодит-йодатный и тетраборатный (при массовой доле серы от 2,002 % до 0,50 %) и методы определения серы, основанные на применении автоматических анализаторов: кулонометрический и инфракрасно- абсорбционный (при массовой доле серы от 0,001 % ло 0,50%) в легированных и высоколегированных сталях. Допускается определение серы титриметрическим методом по ИСО 671-81, приведенным в приложении А, и методом инфракрасной светоскопии по ИСО 4935-89 , приведенным в приложении Б.
