General test methods for insulating and sheathing materials of electric and optical cables. Measurements of thickness and overall dimensions. Tests for determining the mechanical properties
Status: Superseded in part. Subsection 8.3 "Measurement of external dimensions"; registration information 1267-st from 09/30/2016 (the official website of Rosstandart); IUS 3-2017
This standard establishes test methods for polymer materials for insulation and sheaths of electrical and optical cables, wires and cords for power distribution and communication, including ship cables, and methods for measuring thicknesses and external dimensions and determining the mechanical properties of the most common types of insulation and shell compositions PVC compound, polyethylene, polypropylene, etc.)
