This standard applies to food and animal feed and establishes a method for determining the mass fraction of mercury by atomic absorption spectrometry with correction of non-selective absorption based on the Zeeman effect after thermal destruction of the sample. The measurement range of the mercury mass fraction is 0.0025 to 5 ppm
