This standard applies to low-voltage electrical installations and establishes general requirements for security systems, the selection and installation of power systems for security systems and electrical sources for security systems. This standard does not address the requirements for emergency power systems. This standard does not apply to electrical installations used in hazardous areas (BE3) for which the requirements are set out in IEC 60079-14
