The standard establishes methods for measuring and reporting the values of the following noise characteristics of non-electric hand-held machines: a) sound power level, b) radiation sound pressure level at the workplace. The standard applies to non-electric hand-held machines, including spinning machines, surface grinders and orbital grinding machines, non-rotating machines with reciprocating tool movement, impact machines, machines for assembly and assembly work, and other machines. The standard does not apply to cassette machines, fasteners (for example, nailing, stapling), any machines with an internal combustion engine, crushers or other manual machines for which test methods and noise standards are established by legislation, such as for equipment operated outside the premises.
Стандарт устанавливает методы измерения и заявления значений следующих шумовых характеристик неэлектрических ручных машин: a) уровня звуковой мощности, b) уровня звукового давления излучения на рабочем месте. Стандарт распространяется на неэлектрические ручные машины, включая машины вращения, плоскошлифовальные и орбитальные шлифовальные, невращающиеся машины с возвратно-поступательным движением инструмента, ударные машины, машины для монтажно-сборочных работ и другие машины. Стандарт не распространяется на кассетные машины, машины для крепежа (например, гвоздезабивные, скобозабивные), любые машины с двигателем внутреннего сгорания, дробилки или другие ручные машины, для которых законодательством установлены методы испытаний и нормы шума, как, например, для оборудования, эксплуатируемого вне помещения.
