The standard applies to devices for additional treatment (after decontamination) of centralized water systems and decentralized drinking water supply, as well as water purification (disinfection) of surface and underground water sources, for which the daily volume of water to be purified is not higher than 5 m3

Стандарт распространяется на устройства для доочистки (дообеззараживания) воды централизованных систем и нецентрализованного питьевого водоснабжения, а также очистки (обеззараживания) воды поверхностных и подземных источников водоснабжения, для которых суточный объем очищаемой воды не выше 5 м3/сут. Стандарт устанавливает общие требования к эффективности водоочистных устройств и методы ее определения. Стандарт не распространяется на водоочистные устройства, предназначенные для очистки воды от радиоактивных загрязняющих компонентов, а также на бытовые водоочистные устройства, предназначенные для очистки (обеззараживания) воды поверхностных источников, качество которой не соответствует требования СанПиН 2.1.5.980.
