The standard applies to existing channels and paths of audio broadcasting and transmission of television sound signals: analog channels and paths with a frequency band up to 15, 10.7 and 6.4 (6.3) kHz, digital sound broadcast channels with a frequency band up to 15 and 7 kHz, newly introduced high-frequency paths of three-program wire broadcasting and sets standards for their basic quality parameters. The standard does not apply to the channels of program delivery on one sideband via short-wave transmitters and sound broadcasting systems on subscriber urban and rural telephone lines.
Стандарт распространяется на действующие каналы и тракты звукового вещания и передачи звуковых сигналов телевидения: аналоговые каналы и тракты с полосой частот до 15, 10,7 и 6,4 (6,3) кГц, цифровые каналы звукового вещания с полосой частот до 15 и 7 кГц, вновь вводимые высокочастотные тракты трехпрограммного проводного вещания и устанавливает нормы на их основные параметры качества. Стандарт не распространяется на каналы подачи программ на одной боковой полосе через коротковолновые передатчики и системы звукового вещания по абонентским городским и сельским телефонным линиям.
