The standard applies to low power transformers: single-phase electronic power supplies for voltages up to 1000 V # A; pulse signal for voltage up to 220 V; matching signal continuous signals of low frequency power up to 25 W; The inductance filter rectifier inductors are up to 80 H and the bias current is up to 100 A and establishes the measurement methods for: insulation resistance; electrical strength of insulation; no-load current and voltage; transformation ratio; voltage asymmetry of windings; overheating temperature; inductance; nonlinear distortion factor; amplitude-frequency distortion coefficient; voltage of the secondary windings in the rated load mode; electrical strength inter-turn and interlayer insulation; good quality.

Стандарт распространяется на трансформаторы напряжения по ГОСТ 23625 и ГОСТ 1983 и устанавливает методику их первичной и периодической поверок. Стандарт распространяется на заземляемые и незаземляемые однофазные и трехфазные электромагнитные, емкостные и электронные (с аналоговым выходом) измерительные (трансформаторы для измерения и трансформаторы для защиты) трансформаторы. Стандарт не распротсраняется на трансформаторы, применяемые в диапазоне свыше 120% от номинального значения напряжения.
