The standard establishes methods for determining the resistance to heat transfer of window and door glazed units and their elements made of various materials for heated buildings and structures for various purposes. The methods established in the standard are used when conducting type, certification and other periodic laboratory tests. It is allowed to use standard methods for determining the heat transfer resistance of deaf door blocks, zenith lamps, stained glass windows and their fragments, as well as glass packs and profile systems.

Стандарт устанавливает методы определения сопротивления теплопередаче оконных и дверных остекленных блоков и их элементов, изготавливаемых из различных материалов, для отапливаемых зданий и сооружений различного назначения. Методы, установленные в стандарте, применяют при проведении типовых, сертификационных и других периодических лабораторных испытаний. Допускается использование методов стандарта для определения сопротивления теплопередаче глухих дверных блоков, зенитных фонарей, витражей и их фрагментов, а также стеклопакетов и профильных систем.
