This standard applies to power cables with plastic insulation, designed for the transmission and distribution of electrical energy in stationary installations for a nominal AC voltage from 6 to 35 kV inclusively with a rated frequency of 50 Hz. The standard establishes the basic requirements for the construction and technical characteristics of cables, their operational properties and methods of control.
