Plastics. Method of static bending test

The standard establishes a method for determining the properties of rigid and semi-rigid plastics during static bending. The standard defines the recommended type of specimen for testing, as well as other types of specimens for testing for cases where it is not possible to use the recommended specimen. The standard method is applicable to the following materials: thermoplastic materials for molding and extrusion, including unfilled, filled, hardened compositions; rigid thermoplastic sheets; thermosetting materials for molding, including filled and hardened compositions and sheets of thermosetting materials. The standard method is not applicable to rigid cellular materials and laminated structures (such as sandwich) containing cellular material. The standard provides for the use of test specimens that can be molded by various methods, machined from the central part of a standard multipurpose test specimen according to ISO 20753 or machined from finished products, semi-finished products such as laminates and extruded sheets without pressure. The standard establishes the recommended sample sizes for testing.

В стандарте определен рекомендуемый тип образца для испытания, а также другие типы образцов для испытания для случаев, когда невозможно использовать рекомендуемый образец. Метод стандарта применим к следующим материалам: термопластичным материалам для формования и экструзии, включая ненаполненные, наполненные, упрочненные композиции; жесткие термопластичные листы; термореактивным материалам для формования, включая наполненные и упрочненные композиции и листы из термореактивных материалов. Метод стандарта неприменим к жестким ячеистым материалам и слоистым структурам (типа сэндвич), содержащим ячеистый материал. Стандарт предусматривает использование образцов для испытания, которые могут быть отформованы различными методами, изготовлены механической обработкой из центральной части стандартного многоцелевого образца для испытаний по стандарту ISO 20753 или изготовлены механической обработкой из готовых изделий, полуфабрикатов, таких как слоистые пластики и листы, полученные экструзией или литьем без давления. В стандарте установлены рекомендуемые размеры образца для испытания.
