Rubber-insulated power cables. Specifications
Status: Effective - Supersedes. The limitation of effectiveness has been lifted: Protocol No. 5-94 of the IGU dated 05.17.94 (IUS 11-12-1994)
The standard applies to power cables with copper or aluminum conductors with rubber insulation, in lead, polyvinyl chloride or rubber sheath, with or without protective covers, designed for fixed installation in electric networks with voltage of 660 V AC at 50 Hz or 1000 V DC and Voltages of 3,000, 6,000 and 10,000 V DC. The standard establishes requirements for cables manufactured for the needs of the national economy and for exporting to areas with a temperate and tropical climate.
