This standard applies to measuring instruments designed to measure the spectral components of voltage and current in the frequency band up to 9 kHz, which are superimposed on the main components in power supply systems of 50 and 60 Hz. For practical reasons, this standard distinguishes between harmonics and interharmonics on the one hand, and other spectral components located above the harmonic frequency range (approximately 2 kHz) to 9 kHz, on the other hand
