Status: Effective - Supersedes. IUS 1-2013
This standard applies to all soils and sets their classification, used in the production of engineering surveys, design and construction of buildings and structures. The names of the soils and their characteristics stipulated by this standard are allowed to introduce additional names and characteristics, if it is necessary for a more detailed subdivision of soils taking into account the natural conditions of the construction area and the specifics of certain types of construction. Additional names and characteristics of soils should not contradict the classification of this standard and should take into account private classifications established in industry regulatory documents. In this standard, the soil is considered as part of the soil massif homogeneous in composition, structure and properties.
Настоящий стандарт распространяется на все грунты и устанавливает их классификацию, применяемую при производстве инженерных изысканий, проектировании и строительстве зданий и сооружений. К наименованиям грунтов и их характеристикам, предусмотренным настоящим стандартом, допускается вводить дополнительные наименования и характеристики, если это необходимо для более детального подразделения грунтов с учетом природных условий района строительства и специфики отдельных видов строительства. Дополнительные наименования и характеристики грунтов не должны противоречить классификации настоящего стандарта и должны учитывать частные классификации, установленные в отраслевых нормативных документах. В настоящем стандарте грунт рассматривается как однородная по составу, строению и свойствам часть грунтового массива
