Water. Methods of toxicity determination by growth inhibition of marine unicellular algae Phaeodactylum tricornutum Bohlin and Sceletonema costatum (Greville) Cleve
Sceletonema costatum (Greville) Cleve
Status: Not effective - Canceled. Registration information 1897-st dated 12.12.2012 (official website of Rosstandart) .; IUS 4-2013
This standard applies to natural sea water and estuarine waters, as well as sewage with mineralization from 6 to 33 g / dm in the cube and establishes the definition of their toxicity by slowing the growth of Phaeodactylum tricornutum Bohlin or Sceletonema costatum marine single-cell algae after laboratory biological testing by the following methods: - with variable exposure to light and darkness and constant temperature (method A); - with constant exposure to light and temperature (method B). The methods are also used to determine the toxicity of soluble substances, aqueous extracts of marine bottom sediments, spent drilling muds and solid industrial wastes.
