GOST R 52136-2003

Electrical apparatus for the detection and measurement of flammable gases. Part 1. General requirements and test methods

Status: Not effective - Superseded

This standard establishes the general requirements and test methods for electrical gas analyzers and signaling devices designed to detect and measure combustible gases and vapors. These devices or their parts are intended for use in a potentially explosive gas environment and in mines that are hazardous to mine gas. This standard applies to: devices designed to issue an indication, alarm, or other output function, consisting in issuing warnings of an explosion hazard and, in some cases, in initiating an automatic or manual protective action; devices (including built-in sampling devices for devices with forced gas supply) intended for use in order to ensure industrial safety. This standard does not apply to: external sampling systems, laboratory or scientific instruments, as well as instruments used only for process control; devices developed and developed before the introduction of this standard
