General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories

Status: Not effective - Superseded
This standard applies to all laboratories, regardless of the number of personnel or their types of activity in the field of testing and verification. In the event that the laboratory does not carry out one or more activities established by this standard, such as sampling and designing / developing new methods, the requirements of the relevant sections for them do not apply. This standard is applied by laboratories in the development of their own quality systems, as well as administrative and technical systems used to manage activities. Clients of laboratories, federal executive authorities and accreditation bodies may also apply it when confirming or recognizing the competence of laboratories.
Настоящий стандарт распространяется на все лаборатории независимо от численности персонала или видов их деятельности в области испытаний и поверок. В том случае, если лаборатория не осуществляет один или более видов деятельности, установленных настоящим стандартом, таких как отбор образцов и проектирование/разработка новых методов, требования соответствующих разделов для них не распространяются. Настоящий стандарт применяется лабораториями при разработке собственных систем качества, а также административных и технических систем, применяемых для управления деятельностью. Клиенты лабораторий, федеральные органы исполнительной власти и органы по аккредитации, могут также применять его при подтверждении или признании компетентности лабораторий
