This standard applies to contact switching devices for a voltage of not more than 440 V AC and / or 250 V DC and rated currents not more than 125 A, referred to as "automatic circuit breakers for equipment (ABO)", designed to protect electrical circuits in electrical equipment from overcurrents. This standard can be used as an indicative document for ABO for voltages up to 630 V AC. This standard also covers the requirements for the protection of electrical equipment in the event of a voltage drop, overvoltage, or both. The scope of activity of this standard includes ABOs, intended either for automatic shutdown and non-automatic platoon only, or also for manual control of switching. This standard applies to ABOs that are subject to certification, as well as newly developed ABOs.
Настоящий стандарт распространяется на контактные коммутационные аппараты на напряжение не более 440 В переменного и/или 250 В постоянного тока и номинальные токи не более 125 А, именуемые "автоматическими выключателями для оборудования (АВО)", предназначенные для защиты электрических цепей в электрооборудовании от сверхтоков. Этот стандарт может использоваться как ориентировочный документ для АВО на напряжение до 630 В переменного тока. Настоящий стандарт охватывает также требования к защите электрического оборудования при падении напряжения, перенапряжениях или в обоих этих случаях. В сферу деятельности настоящего стандарта попадают АВО, предназначенные либо только для автоматического отключения и неавтоматического взвода, либо также для ручного управления коммутированием. Настоящий стандарт распространяется на АВО, подлежащие сертификации, а также на вновь разрабатываемые АВО
