This standard applies to uninterruptible power systems (UPS) with a DC power storage unit (d.c.). The standard is used in conjunction with IEC 60950-1, which is referred to in the standard as a reference document. This standard is intended to ensure the safe operation of single UPS and interconnected unit systems installed, operated and maintained according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
