Status: Not effective - Canceled. IUS 12-2013
This standard establishes the general safety requirements for electrical equipment, including embedded computing devices used in professional activities in the industrial and educational sectors. The purpose of the requirements of this standard is to ensure that during the development and in the applied methods of designing equipment, the operator and the environment are adequately protected from: electrical shock or burns; mechanical hazards; high temperature; spreading fire from equipment; exposure to liquids, including liquids under pressure; radiation exposure, including laser sources, sound pressure and ultrasound; emitted gases, explosions, including inward explosions. This standard does not establish requirements for: reliability of operation, performance and other non-safety equipment properties; packaging efficiency during transportation; electromagnetic compatibility; protective measures in an explosive atmosphere; service (repair); protection of maintenance (repair) personnel
