Portable residual current devices without integral overcurrent protection for household and similar use (PRCDs). General requirements and test methods
Status: Effective - Introduced for the first time. IUS 9-2013
The standard applies to protective disconnect devices for household and similar purposes (RCD) controlled by differential (residual) current (RCD-D), intended for use as portable protective disconnect devices (hereinafter referred to as RCD-AC) in single-phase AC circuits with rated voltage no more than 250 V and a rated current of no more than 16 A or with a rated voltage of no more than 130 V and a rated current of no more than 32 A without built-in overcurrent protection. The devices are designed to protect people from electric shock in the case of direct contact, in addition to protecting the circuit provided by fixed installations (for example, automatic switches, controlled by differential current and installed in apartment panels with a nominal differential control current of 0.03 A). The standard applies to RCDs-PD, which simultaneously perform the functions of detecting a differential current, measuring and comparing its value with a predetermined tripping current, as well as for shutting down the protected circuit when the differential tripping current is exceeded by the actuator (disconnector)
