Status: Not effective - Superseded. IUS 8-2011
This standard applies to differential current-controlled circuit breakers with built-in overcurrent protection, functionally independent or network-dependent, for residential and similar applications (AVDT), with rated voltages not exceeding 440 VAC, rated currents not exceeding 125 A , and with the highest rated switching capabilities, not exceeding 25,000 A, for operation at a frequency of 50 or 60 Hz. This standard is applicable to AVDT with overvoltage protection. This standard does not apply to: AVDT designed to protect engines; AVDT, the installation of the current which is regulated by means available to the consumer in normal operation; AVDT containing autonomous power sources
