Circuit-breakers for overcurrent protection for household and similar installations
Status: Not effective - Superseded. IUS 3-2000
This standard applies to AC air circuit breakers for operation at a frequency of 50 or 60 Hz with a rated voltage (between phases) of not more than 440 V, a rated current of not more than 125 A and a rated breaking capacity of not more than 25,000 A. The standard applies to newly developed automatic switches designed for the needs of the national economy and exports, as well as automatic switches to be certified. This standard does not apply to: circuit breakers designed to protect motors; circuit breakers, the current setting which is regulated by the means available to the consumer
