The standard establishes requirements for the design, installation, production, testing, installation, operation of technological steel pipelines intended for transportation within industrial enterprises of chemical, petrochemical, oil, oil refining, gas processing and other related potentially dangerous industries of gaseous, vapor and liquid media with design with pressure up to 320 MPa inclusively and with a vacuum not lower than 665 Pa (5 mmHg) at medium temperature from minus 196 ° С to plus 700 ° C. This standard does not apply to pipelines: - main (gas pipelines, oil pipelines and product pipelines); - power plants, boilers, mines; - heat networks, water supply and sewage lines; - special purpose (mobile units, lubrication systems, which are an integral part of the equipment, etc.); - fuel gas, which are subject to the rules on gas distribution systems and gas consumption; - also pipes, tubes, tubular collectors, lintels of fired heating furnaces inside the furnace body; - energy binding pipelines of boilers, which are regulated by the rules for steam and hot water pipelines

Стандарт устанавливает требования к проектированию, устройству, изготовлению, испытанию, монтажу, эксплуатации трубопроводов технологических стальных, предназначенных для транспортирования в пределах промышленных предприятий химической, нефтехимической, нефтяной, нефтеперерабатывающей, газоперерабатывающей и других смежных потенциально опасных отраслей промышленности газообразных, парообразных и жидких сред с расчетным давлением до 320 МПа включительно и вакуумом не ниже 665 Па (5 мм рт. ст.) при температуре среды от минус 196 °С до плюс 700 °С. Настоящий стандарт не распространяется на трубопроводы: - магистральные (газопроводы, нефтепроводы и продуктопроводы); - электростанций, котельных, шахт; - тепловых сетей, линий водоснабжения и канализации; - особого назначения (передвижных агрегатов, смазочных систем, являющихся неотъемлемой частью оборудования, и т.д.); - топливного газа, на которые распространяется действие правил на системы газораспределения и газопотребления; - также трубы, трубки, трубчатые коллекторы, перемычки печей с огневым нагревом, находящиеся внутри корпуса печи; - энергетические обвязочные трубопроводы котлов, которые регламентируются правилами на трубопроводы пара и горячей воды
