The standard establishes the general safety requirements for electrical instrumentation and laboratory equipment. The standard establishes general safety requirements for electrical instrumentation and laboratory equipment, including computing equipment. applied in professional activities (including in the industries and in the field of education). The standard does not apply to: powerful electrical equipment, such as power electronics; metalworking machines and their means of control; watt-hour meters of alternating current classes 0.5: 1 and 2 (according to GOST 6570); medical electrical equipment (according to GOST 30324.0); biological enhancers that bind humans and equipment for research or educational purposes; complete low-voltage devices that pass acceptance tests and tests of other types in accordance with GOST 22789; electrical networks and installations that are part of the electrical equipment of buildings (according to GOST 30331.1 - GOST 30331.9); computers, processors and similar equipment (according to GOST 30326); transformers not included in the equipment considered by the standard (according to GOST 30030); household and similar electrical appliances (according to GOST IEC 335-1); equipment intended for use in explosive gas environments (according to GOST 22782.3, GOST 22782.4, GOST 22782.6, GOST 30852.6 - GOST 30852.8).
