GOST R IEC 60950-1-2005

Information technology equipment. Safety. Part 1. General requirements

Status: Not effective - Superseded. IUS 11-2010

The standard applies to information technology equipment, including electrical office and related equipment, with a rated power supply voltage not exceeding 600 V. The standard applies to the following information technology equipment: - equipment designed as telecommunications terminal equipment and telecommunications network infrastructure equipment regardless of source power supply; - equipment designed and intended for direct connection to a cable distribution system or for use as infrastructure equipment in a cable distribution system regardless of the power source; - equipment using the power supply network as a medium for data exchange. The standard establishes requirements that provide measures aimed at reducing the risk of fire, electrical shock or other danger to the operator and non-expert who may have access to the equipment, as well as, if specifically indicated, the maintenance personnel.
